Europa required an efficient and easily customisable B2B eCommerce platform able to seamlessly integrate to their SysPro Back Office and Accounting Systems. They chose the Gravit-e Enterprise solution.

Europa are manufacturers and suppliers of electrical components to wholesalers, major catalogues and other leading distributers across the UK.
When required, Europa also produce bespoke engineering solutions from concept through design and prototype, to delivery of the finished product on time and on budget.
Industries of all types benefit from Europa products including construction, oil, gas and water, as well as distributors to the domestic market.
As the business was growing, Europa identified the need for a fast, efficient and customisable online Business to Business eCommerce platform which could also be seamlessly integrated to their SysPro back office and accounting and business systems. The Europa tendering process required potential eCommerce solution providers to indicate the ability of their proposed platform to meet a substantial schedule of specific requirements either as standard functionality or through customization.
Due to the complex requirements, the Gravit-e Enterprise platform was chosen to meet the precise processing needs of the business both now and in the future.
Despite the extensive requirements from a £15M turnover PLC, Gravit-e Enterprise was able to meet all but 1 of the 100+ requirements specified by Europa with our product 'out of the box', the remaining 1 we simply customised.
Below is an overview of some of the key requirements and the standard features employed to address them.
Navigation searches and filters – Gravit-e provides a host of advanced search options to ensure customers can find products through product codes, descriptions, brand, category, sub-category and associated products. Searches can also be found using filters, including user-defined dynamic filters.
Controlled visibility - Product pricing was required to only be available to customers that were logged in, whilst the visibility of specific products needed to be restrictable where required.
Product presentation - The status of the stock levels had to be displayed as text (e.g. ‘limited stock’) as opposed to the actual quantity. In addition, product pages needed to accommodate for multiple images, with zoom-in capability, and downloadable data sheets.
Multiple warehouses – Customers can be linked to specific distribution warehouses and each will display the stock status of the product at the specific warehouse.
Stock bundles, clearance and alternatives – As required, Gravit-e can link ‘bought together’ products to create bundles along with associated items for cross selling and alternative items for discontinued products. Gravit-e also provides a stock clearance facility for old stock promotions.
Pricing and discounts – Gravit-e supports complex discount and pricing structures as required by Europa. This includes special pricing, bulk discounts, special promotions and the ability to mix and combine the pricing rules. Discounts can be applied from the back-office systems or as web-only offers. Special promotions and discount codes can also be applied.
Embedded - Europa sought to retain their existing static website pages and design, and therefore Gravit-e was embedded seamlessly into the site.
