Background

Accounting Software Direct is the online retail division of FD Systems, one of Sage's top Business Partners. As a business they have over 11 years' experience of providing Sage Accounting Software to all types and sizes of business.

Challenge

FD Systems sales strategy was traditionally focused on Sage's mid-market and enterprise solutions; however as a company they recognised that there was potential in the SME marketplace to offer products online directly to consumers and reduce the cost of sale for these typically low value deals. It was decided that the company would develop a separate online brand named Accounting Software Direct for this new sales channel so that there would be no confusion in the two different market spaces. The challenge was to develop an online portal that would allow the company to sell Sage's off-the-shelf Accounts, CRM, Payroll and HR software at competitive prices direct to SME businesses.

Solution

Gravit-e provided Accounting Software Direct with a B2B portal designed to offer Sage's off-the-shelf software packages at competitive prices online. The solution uses full e-commerce functionality including a shopping cart and a full payment gateway allowing customers to select and purchase their software online for next day delivery.
