Testing is the process of analyzing a software item to detect the differences between existing and required conditions and to evaluate the features of the software item.
There will be three stages of testing, Unit, System, and Acceptance. Unit and System testing will be undertaken by Gravit-e. User Acceptance testing will be a joint effort between the customer and Gravit-e. The aim of the testing process is to deliver a new Gravit-e e-commerce site to the customer, and for the site to pass User Acceptance testing and 'go live'.
Testing is conducted for each Gravit-e site to determine whether or not the system satisfies the customer's requirements and to enable the customer to determine whether or not to accept the system. Acceptance testing ensures that customer requirements' objectives are met and that all components are correctly included in a customer package.
Any issues that are discovered during the testing process are logged and monitored via a tracking system called Bugzilla. Bugzilla is a powerful issue tracking tool that is used by Gravit-e and our customers to log all bugs and defects. From Bugzilla it will be possible for both the customer and Gravit-e to see the lifecycle of each separate issue and the resolutions used.
The following browsers will be tested for compatibility with each new site:
- Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9
- Firefox 3.0 & 4.0
- Safari
- Google Chrome
If you would like to know more about our testing process, please get in touch and we would be happy to discuss it further.
